Scope
EN 10219-1/-2 cover cold-formed welded structural hollow sections (S235–S460) up to 40 mm wall: circular ≤2500 mm OD, square ≤500×500, rectangular ≤500×300 — the cold-formed counterpart to EN 10210.
Mechanical & Performance Requirements
Same grade framework as EN 10210 (S235JRH to S460MH); cold-forming strain levels controlled — Charpy requirements per grade (27 J at test temperature); weld seam quality per welding-class requirements.
Dimensional Tolerances
Part 2: OD/section tolerance ±1% (min ±0.5 mm); wall ±10%; straightness ≤0.20% of length; external corner radii defined by thickness (1.5t–2.4t zones); twist limits.
NDE & Hydrostatic Testing
Weld-seam NDE per part 1 options (ultrasonic per EN 10246-7/14); leaktightness by hydro or electromagnetic; tensile/impact per lot.
