Scope
EN 10224 (incl. A1:2005) covers non-alloy steel tubes and fittings for the conveyance of water and other aqueous liquids — water-utility pipes with lining/coating compatibility provisions.
Mechanical & Performance Requirements
Yield strength per steel grade (S235-type framework, 235 MPa typical); tensile 360–510 MPa; elongation per grade; weld-seam strength equivalence for welded manufacture.
Dimensional Tolerances
OD/wall per standard table (±1% OD, wall ±10% average); length classes; end preparation for jointing (welded, flanged, coupled).
NDE & Hydrostatic Testing
Hydrostatic test each length; weld-seam NDE by manufacture class; coating (cement/PE) interface tested under the relevant coating standard.
