Sleeve Bushing

Sleeve bushings are cylindrical bearings that provide smooth rotational or linear movement between two parts. They reduce friction, absorb vibration, and support radial loads in a wide range of mechanical systems.

Our sleeve bushings are precision-bored to H7 tolerance and available in bronze, bimetallic steel-bronze, and PTFE-lined variants. Self-lubricating options eliminate the need for external grease, reducing maintenance and extending service life.

Manufacturing Process

Our precision machined parts are manufactured through a 12-step CNC machining process from certified steel bars, including heat treatment, precision grinding, and rigorous QC to meet tight tolerances and demanding performance requirements.

1

Raw Material Receiving & Testing

Certified forged or hot-rolled round bars are received with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certificates. Incoming inspection checks chemistry, hardness, UT cleanliness, and dimensional tolerance.

2

Sawing / CNC Cutting to Blanks

Bars are cut to blank lengths using CNC band saws or circular cold saws with ±0.5 mm length tolerance, minimizing material waste.

3

Rough Turning

Blanks are rough-turned on CNC lathes to remove scale, decarburization, and forging skin, leaving 1.5–2 mm stock per side for finishing operations.

4

Heat Treatment

Components undergo quenching and tempering (Q&T), carburizing, or induction hardening per specification to achieve case hardness (HRC 55–62) and core toughness.

5

Finish Turning & Boring

Precision CNC turning achieves OD/ID tolerances to IT6–IT7 with Ra 0.8–1.6 μm surface finish. Sleeve bushings are internally bored and honed to H7 tolerance.

6

Milling, Drilling & Keyway Cutting

Keyways, oil grooves, cross holes, and wrench flats are machined on CNC machining centers or using broaching/slotting machines.

7

Cylindrical & Surface Grinding

Critical diameters and sealing surfaces are precision ground to achieve Ra 0.2–0.4 μm and tight dimensional tolerances (≤0.01 mm).

8

Dynamic Balancing (Rotating Parts)

Shafts and rotating components are balanced on dynamic balancing machines to G2.5 or G6.3 grade to prevent vibration at operating speeds.

9

NDT (UT/MT/PT)

Critical components undergo ultrasonic testing for internal soundness and magnetic particle or dye penetrant testing to detect surface cracks.

10

Surface Treatment

Parts are blackened, zinc-plated, phosphated, or coated with anti-corrosion oil as required. Mating surfaces are protected with peelable coatings.

11

Dimensional & Hardness QC

100% dimensional inspection using micrometers, bore gauges, CMM; hardness testing (HRC/HRB/HV) on every batch; thread gauging for threaded connections.

12

Rust Prevention & Packaging

Parts are oiled with rust-preventive oil, wrapped in VCI anti-corrosion paper, packed in plywood cases with desiccant, and labeled per customer requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of bushings do you supply?

Solid bronze (CuSn8, CuPb10Sn10), steel-backed bimetal (CuPb10Sn10 on steel), cast iron, polymer-lined, and fully machined steel bushings — flanged, plain, or custom.

What manufacturing processes do you use?

Centrifugal casting, bimetal strip rolling and forming, powder metallurgy, and full machining from forged bar — selected per design and volume.

What tolerances can you hold?

Bore to H6/H7, OD press-fit to r6/s6, surface finish Ra 0.4–1.6, with oil grooves, indentations, or graphite plugs per design.

What standards apply to bushing materials?

EN/DIN material grades (CuSn8, CuPb10Sn10, CuZn31Si), ASTM B505 bronzes, and SAE 660/797 equivalents with EN 10204 3.1 certification.

What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?

From prototype single pieces to production runs; standard material bushings 2–6 weeks, castings 6–10 weeks. Contact us with your drawing.

Can you supply to my drawing with special features?

Yes — oil grooves, grease holes, flanges, chamfers, graphite plugs, and special coatings, machined complete to drawing.

How is quality verified?

Dimensional and hardness reports, material chemistry per heat, density/porosity checks on castings, and penetration tests on bimetal bonding.

What documentation is provided?

EN 10204 3.1 MTCs, dimensional inspection reports, and material certificates per lot.

Can you help select the right bushing material for my application?

Yes — provide load (P), speed (V), temperature, and lubrication conditions; we recommend material and design per standard PV criteria.

Do you offer OEM-volume production?

Yes — with process control, PPAP-style documentation, and annual volume agreements for OEM customers.
